Data and Privacy Hang

With Cornell's CAT lab and the Coalition for Independent Technology Research

Come hang out and chat about what we can do together to make the internet better.

As an Oregonian, you are protected by a particularly useful data privacy law when it comes to the sorts of research Consumer Reports is interested in conducting: companies are required by law to disclose which third party entities they are selling your data to - something that is not the case in 48 other States.

We'll be chatting about some of our ideas for further research using the provisions of that law, and what we could uncover together, as well as connecting with other groups with an eye on the effects of technology on the public interest.

Come hang out, meet other CR members and staffers, and have a drink with us on Wednesday the 28th, at 5:30pm!

Will you attend?
