To use a container or not?

The “Container” content block will allow you to add a background color or image to a section of your page. To do this, click “Add Content Block” in the left panel, and select “Container”. You can then set the background color and image of the container, along with some margins and padding. You can then add more content blocks inside this container under “Inner Components” Example of a container with a background image

If you would like your content on a white background, you should be able to add content blocks directly to the page without nesting them inside a container. The components will respect the maximum width of the page content. There may be some special circumstances where you would want to use a container even if the background color is white. For example, if you want to customize the padding, or set the width to be extra wide or extra narrow.

The “Signup Container” Content Block

The “Signup Container” functions exactly like the “Container” content block, but it is specifically designed to hold the content for a signup form. Inner blocks created for other page types are omitted from the “inner components” options for simplicity.

The “Signup Form” Content Block

The “Signup Form” content block is used to place a signup form on the page. Settings in this component allow you to change the background color, submit button text, and update button text. You can also show/hide the disclaimer and the “Send me email updates” checkbox. (See “Signup settings” below to learn about the radio buttons) The Event Form Content Block

NationBuilder Settings for Signups

Click the gear icon in the bottom right corner to open the NationBuilder Settings drawer. These settings will allow you to change how you view the page in CloudCannon, but you will need to also adjust these settings in NationBuilder when you create the live page.

User Settings These toggle buttons change the view of the page to replicate whether the user is logged in.”Sorta logged in” refers to when the user has not actually logged in with their credentials, but NationBuilder can detect the user based on other factors.

Configuration Settings

These inputs will adjust which form fields will display in the form. Updating these settings is for display purposes only, you will need to adjust these settings in NationBuilder under “Signup Settings -> Basics”. Signup Configuration Screenshot

The “Has Radio Button Options” checkbox, and the fields below it will let you view the form as it would appear if you add radio buttons to the form in NationBuilder. The values you enter here are for testing only, as you will need to enter the actual values in NationBuilder under “Signup Settings -> Radio buttons” Signup Radio Buttons Screenshot

SMS Settings

displays the text “Text ___ to sign” below the submit button. This replicates what would display in NationBuilder if a text keyword is added to the event. This setting is adjusted in NationBuilder under “Event Settings -> Text Keywords”. Leave blank to omit. Text Keyword setting
